How to get there:
By taxi boat from the Old District Pier at 200 baht / person taking about 10 minutes.

Koh Por is located between Koh Lanta Yai and Koh Bu Bu. Taking a long-tailed boat from the Old District Pier, tourists will see Koh Por on the right. Village and school are available on the island where majority live on agriculture and fishery, rubber and coconut plants especially are their main income.

Tha Kang Beach: Koh Pors longest beach west of the island in the pier area the wide but slightly steep beach line stretches to the the upper part in the north. The rear is a shady beach forest with shallow water possible for a swim especially at the lowest tide. The upper island offers the scenery of Koh Bu Bu, Koh Kam Yai, Koh Kam Lek and Koh Talabeng besides a viewpoint for sunset. |

Nai Ban Beach: Northeast of KOh Por, this bay is where a big fishermen communicity located. The water here is shallow and the beach is narrow with redish brown sand, the underwater floors of which are remainings of dead corals. Not ideal for swimming, this beach has beautiful scenery, especially a view of long-tailed boats row in front of the beach overlooking houses outstanding along the coconut trees.

As Koh Por is a muslim community with good tradition and culture, tourists to visit this island should dress politely and not bring in any alchoholic drinks as well as improper behaviors. This island is ideal for nature tour to study local ways of life. There is a small concrete road from Koh Por Pier to the beaches.

From the bay at low tide is possible to skirt by to the apex in the east whee there are a lot of small beaches shady with coconut trees. At the cape end stands a huge rock with a tree creating a unique sight with a view of Koh Bu Bu, Koh Kam Yai-Koh Kam Lek and the Trangs shore. Also possible to see is the White monkey Hanuman epicted on the stone ground.
